June 2: “Measure A” Hike

Come see your tax dollars at work! Since 2014, Marin County’s taxpayer funded “Measure A” Farmland Preservation Program has helped protect seven family farms from development. Come hike one of the scenic and productive landscapes protected by this innovative and vital program.
On 330 acres now owned by the fourth generation of the Gallagher family, beef cattle graze on pastures with incredible views, a historic railroad follows the forested Lagunitas Creek and organic row crops line the flats.

What to Bring: Layers, water, sunhat, sunscreen, hiking shoes and a walking stick for uneven terrain
Hike Details: 4 miles round-trip; moderate hike on uneven terrain; 350 feet elevation
